Portugal - celebration of life and food
Visiting Portugal was an incredible experience. I deeply regret not extending my stay and exploring more of this captivating country. The food in Portugal is simply outstanding. The climate is perfect for year-round activities, allowing for endless adventures and enjoyment. Being situated right by the ocean adds an extra layer of beauty and charm to the Portuguese landscape. It is comforting to know that Portugal is considered the 3rd safest country in the world. We had a fantastic trip to Lisbon, immersing ourselves in the city by exploring on foot. We made sure to visit both popular attractions and hidden gems that were off the beaten path. One of the highlights was stumbling upon an art fair in a charming square, situated high above the city. The fair offered delicious food, amazing sangria, and a lively DJ. It was incredible to witness people dancing freely on the streets, without a worry in the world. Lisbon truly felt like a city that embraced life and knew how to have a good time.
We embarked on a day trip to Sintra to indulge in the exploration of the majestic Pena Palace. This enchanting place is steeped in rich history and boasts an awe-inspiring architecture that is simply outstanding. As we wandered through the palace grounds, we were transported back in time, marveling at the intricate detailing and vibrant colors of the palace facade. The interior was just as magnificent, with its opulent rooms and elegant furnishings. The panoramic views from the palace were breathtaking, offering us a glimpse of the surrounding landscapes and the charming town of Sintra below.
Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Sintra's Pena Palace is one of the seven wonders of Portugal.
